Who We Are
Veterans Transition Center was founded by two Navy Service Members with over 21 years of service. We realized that information was often overwhelming and the available tools were not personal enough to help each individual navigating this major life change. This problem was universal—our friends and family members who transitioned through various paths (IDES, short-service separation, or full retirement) all shared the same primary complaint: overwhelmed by conflicting information, dense government handbooks, and outdated advice.

Miguel Rodriguez
CO-FOUNDER
A 21-year Service Member of the U.S. Navy, Miguel Rodriguez brings a distinguished "Mustang" pedigree to the Veterans Transition Center, having advanced from Chief Petty Officer to Lieutenant. His military career was defined by high-stakes operational excellence, where he directed ADP and COMMS operations for the U.S. Third Fleet and managed $1.5M portfolios in secured environments. Now, Miguel bridges the gap between executive leadership and hands-on engineering. Holding CISSP and CISM certifications, he serves not only as a business leader but as the lead architect behind the VTC platform. He is personally coding the technology to ensure it is secure, accessible, and effective. Driven by an unwavering advocacy for sailors, Miguel is dedicated to using his technical discipline to help fellow service members successfully navigate their post-military lives.

CO-FOUNDER
A U.S. Navy Information Professional Officer (LDO) with over 21 years of service, LeKendrick Leavy brings a legacy of technical leadership to the Veterans Transition Center. Nominated to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, his career has been defined by identifying operational gaps and engineering immediate solutions to fill them. LeKendrick bridges the gap between military necessity and modern software engineering. With a Master’s in Cybersecurity and a B.S. in Computer Science, he serves as the lead developer behind the VTC platform. He is currently transforming two decades of manual military tools—POAMs, trackers, and planning forms—into a unified, AI-driven web application. Proficient in Next.js, React, and Cloud Security, LeKendrick is dedicated to simplifying the complex landscape of finance, benefits, and healthcare for transitioning veterans.
